Neil Hallock showed up to the game looking like he was traveling with a pro
team.
(After the game he played he'll have to dress up for every game.)
This was the first time St. Thomas would get to play on Portsmouth's new turf field.
The captains' won the toss
What took place next was 80 minutes of intense scoreless soccer.
Each team had great scoring opportunities but both keepers came up big.
Neil Hallock made 11 saves and the St. Thomas defense also
made 2 more.
The Saints put 15 shots on the Clipper goal.
The Saints went into overtime for their third time this season. They played 9 minutes and 30 second of intense edge of your seat soccer with the clippers before David Ham was pulled down in the box while going up for a cross pass. The referee made the call and a penalty kick was coming. As Ham sprang up from the turf he was making it clear he wanted to take the kick. The teams lined up and Ham's shot was true as the St. Thomas bench emptied and the players swarmed him in celebration of a hard fought victory.
NH News 9 caught the penalty and David Hams winning kick see video here
