St. Thomas vs Plymouth
October 25, 2013
Photos from the game:
St. Thomas was in control of their own destiny - if they win against Plymouth they make the Tournament and keep a streak alive that goes back to 1985 when the team first made a playoff appearance. Not wanting to be the team that breaks a 28 year stretch, one that is longer than these players have been alive, the team went out to keep the season going. Before the game the Seniors presented their Mom's with a rose and posed for photos with their parents.
Ryan Brown read this over the PA system:
We will take
a moment before todays match to recognize our seniors who are playing in
their last high school soccer season.
Over the past four years the seniors on this team have gone to a
State Semi-final and they have been part of 2 NSCAA Academic Award winning
teams - The only ones in NH.
At this time
we would like to say thanks to them and we
would also like to honor their parents, the people who made it all possible.
We want to say Thank you for being there for us.
Thank you for your years of support & love.
We appreciate all those rides to practices and games.
We thank you for buying countless pairs of cleats. We want to say
Thanks for sharing all our wins over the years and finding reason to make
our losses easier to take. We
stand here before you, the skilled players we are today and the young
gentlemen we have grown into, because of your love and support.
While the team will be playing this game for the seniors, These
Seniors will be playing this game for you, their parents out of love and
respect for all you have done.
